Udonna lures 5 unsuspecting teens, Nick, Chip, Madison, Xander and Vida, into a 'Magical Forrest' for a higher purpose in life - to become the 5 legendary Mystic Force rangers; but one of the teens, Nick, isn't so sure about his new destiny. Meanwhile, a group of villains is attacking the Forrest in an attempt to destroy Udonna, the White Mystic Force Ranger, and the other 5 rangers.

The Rangers, having left their wands at the tree, leave Udonna no choice but take on Koragg by herself. However, during battle she is stripped of her White Ranger powers. Chip, Xander, and sisters, Vida and Madisson, having accepted their destiny as Power Rangers, return to face Koragg and his army of hideaks, while Nick who does not want to be any part of this, decides to leave. With a little nudge from Udonna, he eventually embraces his destiny and joins the Rangers as their new leader, the Red Mystic Force Ranger.

While Nick, Xander, and Madison train to learn spells, Chip and Vida, desperately wanting to unlock new spell codes, try and take a short cut by opening up a "Heroes for Hire" service, doing odd jobs. They soon learn that new spell codes can only be unlocked by a true act of heroism. Eventually, they get the spell codes to unlock the Mystic Titans and the Mystic Titan Dragon Mode.

A monster despatched by Necrolai looks intent on petrifying various townspeople, turning them to solid rock. Madison is caught in the crossfire, leaving Nick tapping into the fires of the Phoenix.

In an attempt to break up the Rangers, Koragg uses the White Ranger's Snow Staff to mess with Nick's head. When money is turned up missing at the Rock Porium, accusations lead all the other rangers to believe that Nick is a thief which causes distention in the ranks.

Nick forms a bond with a horse, Catastrous, who has been turned to the dark side to help Koragg in destroying the Power Rangers.

When the Rangers learn of Necrolai's intentions of finding the legendary Fire Heart, they must go on the ultimate mission, facing a series of obstacles to ensure that they reach it first.

When DJ Fly comes into town, Vida decides to go and check him out. But when she does, she is turned into a Vampire. At first, Chip is the only one to believe it, but after a discussion with Udonna, the others learn that Vampires do infact exist. Now the Rangers must contend with DJ Fly (the monster in disguise) and destory him, but can they help Vida become normal again?

With Vida still a vampire, Chip tries to figure out a way to break the spell that the Queen of Vampires has over her.

When Xander casts a spell to hide a zit, it severely backfires and he soon finds himself slowly turning into a tree.

When Clare learns of her mother Niella's legacy, she takes on the role of the Gatekeeper. While she is victorious against Necrolai, she tries and fails to overpower Koragg after he kidnaps Udonna and forces Clare to fight him. Clare is ultimately seized by Necrolai and used to raise the gates to the Underworld.

The gates have been raised and Morticon is set free thanks to a crack made from the Titan Megazord. After Nick saves Clare from Koragg, the Rangers reunite and, with Udonna's power channeled through the Megazord, Morticon is destroyed.

Koragg has gone AWOL so Necrolai gets the power rangers to break the force field around the ocean cave. Inside is a lamp and a new stronger evil that the rangers will have to face.

An old friend of Udonna, Calindor, returns to Briarwood with news of his fate, but carries a dangerous secret that threatens Rootcore. Meanwhile, Madison struggles to rid herself of a persistent frog that has become attached, literally, to her, but does this frog carry with it the key to a new ally thought lost?

When Xander neglects his training, Daggeron takes the Rangers on a field trip to a dangerous dimension. After he leaves to fight the Behemoth, it's up to Xander to save the others from a giant, who is (quite ironically) a vegetarian. Once the Rangers return to Briarwood, Xander gets the new Mystic Muscles spell code, but Daggeron ultimately defeats the Behemoth with the Solar Streak Megazord.

Chip accidentally opens a magic bottle that begins to slowly steal his soul. To help him, Daggeron takes him to the top of Mount Isis to retrieve the Staff of Topaz, where he gets into a battle with Koragg for the artifact. Meanwhile, the other Rangers try to stop Gnatu and Spydax from stealing any more souls from the citizens of Briarwood. After Chip is healed by the magic of the staff, he returns to assist the Rangers to defeat Gnatu. In the end, Daggeron promises to train Chip to be a knight, as he was trained to be a knight under Udonna's husband, Leanbow.

Jenji gets jealous of Fire Heart and takes the baby to live in the forest. Meanwhile, Imperious challenges Koragg to fight without magic, and gives Koragg's magic to Necrolai in the form of a purple Mystic Morpher. With it, and the new harpy creature Screamer, she leads an assault and manages to immobilize all of the Rangers except Madison. She and Jenji show up and destroy Screamer with a combination of Jenji's "Super Cat Attack" and Madison's own water-based version of the "Jenji Shining Attack". Back in the forest Fire Heart has grown to monstrous proportions, and when Udonna confronts Phineas about his "saving a second baby" she learns that her son, Bowen, is still alive in the human world.

The Rangers are relying too much on their powers lately, and in a heated battle it costs them their most valued ally: Jenji the Genie.

In a world with no good magic, color or even music, the Rangers are forced to form an alliance with Koragg in order to undo the magic from the wish that Genji granted.

The Rangers, rejected by the Tribunal of Magic, decide to continue to fight against Imperious without powers, which impresses the Tribunal...but will they retract their decisions to let the team fight this nightmare realm unaided?

Koragg takes his magic from Necrolai to challenge the rangers' new Legend power. When Koragg grows, the Rangers use the Manticore Megazord and start to win, but Imperious summons a virus that infects the Megazord (and Rangers inside). Koragg, angered by Imperious's intrusion on their battle, negates the effects of the virus. As a result, Imperious makes Koragg stand trial for his countless failures and treason. Koragg argues that while he fights with honor in The Master's name, Imperious does not and shouldn't be trusted. In the end, The Master agrees and allows Koragg to keep his power.

As Udonna and Daggeron tell the Rangers of how Leanbow was sealed away in the Underworld, Imperious plots to use the Rangers' Legendary power to revive The Master. He has Koragg deal with the Rangers and, meanwhile, tricks Daggeron by using the Solar Streak Megazord's energy to create the Chimera. After Imperious disposes of Daggeron, Chimera and Koragg capture the Rangers. Udonna uses a spell to travel to the Underworld, but she is quickly struck down by The Master. Bystander Koragg's visions intensify into an onslaught of flashbacks, and when he finally realizes the truth, he attacks the Master, saves Udonna, and assumes his true form: Leanbow.

With Leanbow's help, the Rangers & Udonna escape the Underworld, and Leanbow teleports the weakened Udonna away. When the unicorn Brightstar appears, Nick manages to destroy Chimera with the Phoenix Unizord, but when Leanbow is turned back into Koragg, Nick has a hard time holding him off. During the fight, Daggeron arrives to settle things with Imperious in a Bound Battle. Clare gives Udonna Nick's baby blanket, and when she realizes who Nick really is, she rushes to the battlefield to tell everyone. Daggeron manages to defeat Imperious, who fades and turns to dust while foretelling a cryptic remark. Just as Leanbow manages to turn back to his true form, The Master, using the Legend power, begins to arise from the Underworld. Leanbow freezes the Rangers in their place and fights The Master himself. He manages to stop his revival and return the Rangers' Legend power, but he seemingly perishes in the battle. Udonna, however, adjusting to life as a mother, believes that Leanbow is still alive.

Necrolai unleashes the Ten Terrors, ten fierce warriors each with their own incredible powers that match even the Ranger's own, the first of these creatures, Magma, attacks Briarwood in search of the one he calls "The Light", meanwhile Madison is having doubts about her role as a Ranger

Udonna leaves Rootcore to search for Leanbow. Shortly after, the Ten Terrors arrive and start their campaign to punish the Earth for refusing dark magic, as well as find "The Light," the child born of magic blood that has the potential to be the strongest wizard of all. After confronting Phineas about this, Nick finds out that he is The Light. Magma is the first Terror to challenge the Rangers, implicating his own rules into a special game; if the Rangers are still standing by the time a radio tower is done burning, they will win. Madison manages to hold him back, but when the Rangers turn into the Manticore Megazord, Magma quickly stops them. The onlooking Terrors notice that the tower has burnt down all the way; Magma has lost his own game, and he is destroyed as punishment. Gekkor points out to Necrolai that the Rules of Darkness must be adhered to for The Master to return.

Nick and Vida have a fight because Nick used Vida's table without asking. They go outside because they were getting too loud. One of the terrors attacks them with slime which causes them to not morph anymore. Meanwhile, the others fight another terror called Serpentina. LeeLee discovers that she will become the Queen of the Vampires.

Trying to stop the Master from rising, Leanbow has to deal with Sculpin's attempt to foil his plan. The Snow Prince commands that instead of being a teacher, Daggeron should take a lesson from Nick on following his instincts.

Hekatoid has captured Udonna and the Rangers chase after him in his own dimension in to rescue her. Daggeron, in the real world, tries to stop all the tadpoles Hekatoid has lain to destroy the world.

The teens lose their power trying to save Udonna when Leelee, Phineas, and Clare end up saving her instead. The Terrors have also acquired the Master from a defeated Leanbow.

Matoombo, a Terror with a conscience, is chosen to become the host for the revived Master. Not wishing to serve as the body of pure chaos, he flees and forges a friendship with Vida in the process. Meanwhile, the Rangers confront Itatis, and a battle with the Terrors leads to the return of a fallen warrior...

The Master ambushes Nick and transforms him into his agent of chaos, Koragg. The corrupted Red Ranger terrorizes Briarwood forest and engages his father Leanbow in a battle that spreads throughout Rootcore. Meanwhile, The Master attacks the source of all good magic in order to spread his power unhindered...

The Master's schemes reach fruition, as he slays Leanbow and Daggeron en route to finishing off the Mystic Mother. The Rangers are sent to the distant future to witness the results of The Master's victory, they soon rebound in an effort to repel him once and for all, but can they do it alone?
